Construction of a temperature-controlled room utilising insulated slip-joint panel systems, designed to maintain optimal internal conditions and prevent thermal transfer. The structure was built using 0.6mm commercial-grade Colorbond steel skins, ensuring durability and long-term performance in a controlled environment. A full mastic vapour seal was applied throughout the room to eliminate air infiltration, preventing hot air ingress that could lead to condensation and compromise internal temperature stability. The room measures 17m x 17m with a height of 3m, incorporating a suspended ceiling system engineered to support an 8.5m ceiling span, providing both structural integrity and efficient load distribution. Surfmist Colorbond flashing was installed across all junctions and corners to enhance structural strength and deliver a clean, professional finish. To further optimise thermal efficiency, an external perimeter heater cable system was installed to prevent cold bridging and eliminate internal condensation risks. Access to the facility includes two personnel access doors for staff and one sliding door designed to accommodate machinery and operational requirements.
